The European Commission has issued three additional technical investigatory measures to X (formerly Twitter) regarding its recommender system, as part of ongoing proceedings under the EU Digital Services Act (DSA). The Commission has requested internal documentation on X's recommender systems by 15 February 2025, imposed a retention order for future algorithmic changes until 31 December 2025, and demanded access to specific commercial APIs. These measures aim to facilitate the Commission's assessment of systemic risks and their mitigation in compliance with DSA obligations.
